What can't you make in the microwave?

Chelle and I recently embarked on an adventure. A culinary adventure, obviously.

Part I:

Part II:

If you aspire to make equally amazing things, here is our recipe. We've decided chocolate chips are a must, though we didn't have any at the time.

Microwave Hot Chocolate Cake:

3 Packets of hot chocolate mix
3 tbsp of flour
1 egg
3 tbsp of vegetable oil
3 tbsp of water

Grease a large mug. Pour dry ingredients into mug and combine well. Stir in the egg. Add the water and oil. Mix completely. Microwave on high for 3 minutes.

It's genius! You'll never have oreos and milk for your midnight snack again.

  1. Goddamn. That's amazing. But why does it have to replace oreos and milk? Why can't they supplement each other. I personally feel that the three would synergize for quite tasty results.

  2. Bitches please. You are so far behind the times. 48 Sunset has been making delicious microwavable chocolate cake in the largest clean mug available way more often than is advisable for months. And our recipe is ten time more delicious due to the (totally not optional) chocolate chips.

    4 tablespoons flour
    4 tablespoons sugar
    2 tablespoons cocoa
    1 egg
    3 tablespoons milk
    3 tablespoons oil
    3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
A small splash of vanilla extract
    1 large coffee mug (MicroSafe)

Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well.

Add the egg and mix thoroughly.

Pour in the milk and oil and mix well..

Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla extract, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts. MUG WILL BE HOT!

The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!

Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired.
EAT ! (this can serve 2 if you want to feel slightly more virtuous).

  3. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA. I like how Chelle gets cut off while calling the cake "suspicious."
